CRACK!
Zoë’s eyes snapped open. “What was that?” She thought as she peered around her bedroom curtains and stared into the darkness. The street lamps illuminated the tree outside her bedroom window so it glowed eerily in the night. A thick mossy branch the size of her arm was hanging by an inch of bark and swinging gently from side to side as if someone had been sitting there only moments before.
Would you start reading a book that began with this? Any opinions and comments welcome. The book is most likely going to be aimed at teenagers but adults could read it too if they wanted to.
